UN Cambodia Special Rapporteur States That A Comprehensive Democratic And Human Rights Reform Is Needed

UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Cambodia, Vitit Muntarbhorn, issued his first report during his in-country visit to Cambodia, stressing the need for democratic reform and urging a 10-point “Cambodian Human Rights Action Agenda.” The international community is now giving attention to the abuses by the Hun Sen government, including the long-standing, widespread, and systemic control which has led the country to the monopoly of a one-party rule.
